    Scio Diamond Technology is a company deeply rooted in its core values. They believe in the talent and character of their employees and in the responsibility to the communities in which they live and work.

    In early 2012, SCIO had a lot to do to get their doors open and keep investors confident. Their primary efforts were focused on the renovation of their new diamond laboratory and managing the start-up tasks of a new company. Having managed multi-million dollar business sectors in the past, Mike McMahon, CEO understood the critical role human resources plays in successful companies and knew the value of HR related to attracting and retaining high level, talented employees. Innovate HR engaged with SCIO before their first employee was hired and got to work. On the first day of employment, employees were met by their HR Manager for a one on one experience. Innovate HR already created and implemented a customized benefits communication tool, employee handbook, set up payroll and a client specific HR intranet portal. They were able to talk with their HR Manager one-on-one and ask questions about a culture that had just been recently created. In short, they presented a view of an established culture for a great employee experience instantly.

    Starting up with only 5 critical employees SCIO’s objective was to ensure their employees were met with a great first impression. Innovate HR managed that by instantly providing an infrastructure that would have taken in-house efforts months, if not years, to create and implement. Since SCIO Diamond focused on their core objectives and outsourced their HR functions to Innovate HR, they are now on track by successfully growing diamond as planned and are now maintaining customer and investor confidence.
